ATARI GAMER MAGAZINE OUT NOW!!!!

Image

Please watch the preview
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qEdsGI8Ez8

Something I've been wanting to do for some time was to honor and celebrate a machine that more or less never gets any awareness or exposure so I personally set out to change that and needed something of an inspiration to create a proper magazine which will both let readers see these computers in a different light, read about the great games created for it and hopefully learn something along the way too.

I am of course talking about the classic Atari 8-bit range, the Atari 800-800XL and 130XE platforms, so the magazine will consist mainly of the great reviews for the Atari 8-bit computers, plus some real diamonds in the ruff type articles never disclosed before and some nice homages and surprises along the way too across about 74 pages or so.
it is available in digital form only.

How much will it cost?, for on its initial release £2.99 and is available in high resolution PDF Digital download perfectly suited for any Tablet devices and desktop computer
I hope you enjoy the preview advert and ask yourself "Have you Played Atari Today?"

Looking very nice indeed, Foxy!

I have little interest in the 8-bits (not through any particular dislike, I just have had next to no experience of them) so I won't be buying, but if it's a success and you do an ST version, I will be on it like a car bonnet. Especially if you need someone to write some articles! ;)

Hmm sounds like a future endeavour fella :D , I had lots of Atari 8- bit love and needed to make this happen..what I can say is, it covers the European sides of things from the piracy scene to lost games, plus it we have over 40 games and a heap of homebrew ones reviewed, trivia and much more.

I would love to do an Atari ST one, but would there be a demand for such a prize?

Who knows, as this has taken many hours to create in order to hown the Atari feel of yester-year style, the Atari ST one would have to be creative and inventive like the machine itself presented in a magazine fashion, we'll see what happens

Yep, seconded - looks great! - very professional, looks lovely, and loads of colour, something missing for obvious reasons in most printed mags of the day!

thanks for the supports fellas..

@Japster, there will be only one issue, this is a collectors mag, this would nearly be a full time job if I was to do this every month or so, so too much to do as I'm working on other top secret stuff, but again a nice little Xmas pressie to yourselves :)

also if you wish to see more of my work, check out the Homebrew Heroes signature for more info, you can watch the promo videos and even download a preview PDF , some great stuff in there too..plus it has heaps of Atari Content :)

Will check out the HH stuff mate, it's my favourite part of RG, so I guess I'm going to love nipping over to have a gander at what you're doing... :)

All the best,

Finally :), the magazine has now been finished, but due to the lateness of it been done, and not been able to have the web page finished for purchase I have extended it for a January 2014 Release and as soon as it's ready to go, I will make an announcement for it here.

Image

I will say this, I have done the Atari 8-bit justice with the content, some amazing stuff to read in here and the game reviews are fantastic to say the least, and page size at 72 pages of wonderful Atari 8-bit content.

So expect to see it about very soon and thanks to everyone who commented and supported me on this great journey.

cheers
