Fanwor – The Legend of Gemda. Reviewed and fully mapped.
Sluggish on stock STs...Needs a min of the Mega STe but well worth it if you enjoy exploring and killing ;)

I swear, I don't remember ever hearing of this game.

I've downloaded both versions (original and with "updated" graphics)
and will try them on my Mega STe and STacy.

Thanks for the report/maps. :)

You're very welcome, let me know what you think. I'm glad I have the extra CPU grunt inside the MSTE. It needs it! And I enjoyed mapping it, very enjoyable game imho

Okay, I grabbed 2 versions of this game, one from P.Pera and the original (I'm assuming).

Both work, although I couldn't get P.Pera's to do sound. The original played the PSG sound,
(is the sword swing the only action that makes a sound?) but neither would play digital
samples here.

Speed was okay and very playable on my Mega STe @16mhz, cache on, blitter on.

Thanks for pointing this game out and mapping it. :)

That's odd, I'll have to boot mine up but I played with PSG but yeah it's just the sword more or less. Glad you liked the map etc :D

Oh, nice, thanks for the map! I didn't expect that anybody really played that game in 2025 (since it likely makes more sense to play the original on an emulator nowadays) :D

Ha! Brilliant to hear from you!!
No, that logic always escapes me. So many times my daughter might ask why I'm playing Turbo Cup instead of some flashy iPad racer...
Erm, no girl, I'm strictly 16-bit

@thothy

"since it likely makes more sense to play the original on an emulator nowadays"

That never makes sense to me and my *real* Atari hardware.
