TT PSU 3D printable base / stand?

Post by stormy »

Just wondering if anyone has ever created a 3D printable base for the TT PSU - ie; if you had the actual PSU circuit board but nothing to mount it on?

I don't understand why the folks at 16-32 systems (who sells their own new TT PSU's) don't at least offer a 3D printed bracket with it. It would make sense, I emailed them about it but no response.

Here you go, I made a crude model, hopefully it is OK. I uploaded STL and STEP so it can be edited if needed. I'll upload to Thingiverse also. There are no screw holes, so you just drill your own into the plastic. I made the raised parts thick enough for this. I'll print it and make any adjustments if necessary.

I've made some changes to it, here's v3.

It's also on Thingiverse now: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7023738

Just an update, please don't download the older V3 file from here. On Thingyverse it has been refined up to V8.

How did you guys end up with TT:s that were missing the PSU base/stand? Just curious.

You'd be surprised how many TT owners don't have the original PSU. I remember when I built some TT to ATX adapters a few years ago, I sold about 10x all across Europe. Sometimes people buy a TT motherboard with nothing else included.
