Coding total noob

Hello everyone, tomorrow I will put my hands on a Atari 1040 ste and I'm really excited about that... The point is that I've never programmed something in my life so I want to start and I'm really interested in that. No PC programming, everything only on the Atari.
Could you please giving some advices on:

- Software?
- Languages to use?
- Books to read for programming?

I'm a quick learner and lover of informatic stuff.

STOS BASIC 2.6,
GFA BASIC,
Hisoft Devpac 2 or higher.

Languages:
BASIC or Motorola 68000 Assembly Language.

Books:
STOS BASIC Manual
