Pengo has been released.
As i've expected, it requires a special support. Not just ROM replacement.

Holy cow, that was quick. Thank you :)

Good to know that you'll require proper source code for each game. If I find specific source code for cores, I'll point them out.

@Sorgelig, if you have time could you port Moon Patrol to MiSTer?

Just played Super Glob, thanks for porting the game to MiSTer, it's a fun little game. One thing I noticed after playing the game I had 32 credits. As you play credits keep adding up.

As far as I can remember, the core has no sound, otherwise I would have ported it already

yeah, i know this. Because jump/call buttons shared with start1/2 which in fact adds coins. I found this issue meaningless since it doesn't prevent the normal play. Otherwise i need to add separate coin button.

nice find! I will upload it to github.
I've tried "Alibaba and 40 thieves" but it seems requires a special support.

I will see if there are more generic pacman arcades which can be release by simple ROM swapping.

There is Gorkan arcade, but it's actually the same as Mr.TNT with slightly different graphics. I think it's not worth to have 2 the same arcades.

Thanks very much for all the support.

Any chance of a port of "Moon Cresta"?

http://www.zxuno.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... sta#p17933
http://git.zerfleddert.de/cgi-bin/gitwe ... :/galaxian

I had a quick look and I can see that someone has tried to bring it to MiST before

https://github.com/Gehstock/Sources/tre ... tform_Mist
https://github.com/Gehstock/Sources/tre ... Beta-Cores

I really liked this game as a kid and the tricky docking sequences.

Galaxian Hardware - There are also different games for it

I had tried porting but there was a bug creeping in, so I did not pursue it

By the way, that ZxUno thread says Amidar and Orbitron are simple adaptations from Scramble and Galaxian hardware (resp.). Apparently Amidar just needs a ROM swap, and Orbitrpn has a tweak in HDL posted here:

the scramble core i've ported has following remark about Amidar: Plays OK but no sound
That's why i've skipped this arcade.

it seems zxuno forum is down, so i cannot check is there is a specific moon cresta core exist.
Although it uses galaxian HW, it requires graphics banks switching. Without it, you will see a mess on the screen.
All archives i found have source of original galaxian without moon cresta extensions..
If you can give me the source of exactly moon cresta or at least the part which needs to be changed, then i will be able to make this core.

This is the archive from ZXUNO albeit converted into ZIP as Atari-Forum doesn't support .7z extension

But surely the link I gave above to the MiST beta port would be a better start?

I don't know which ROM all these so-called Moon Cresta sources are expecting. All these sources are generic Galaxian version, not Moon Cresta. Moon Cresta has twice bigger char ROM and doesn't work on non-modified Galaxian HW. My modified version properly handles it.
