Maybe I'm on the wrong side now, but can your tracker also save in a .SNDH format ?
Or is it just to make chippesound alike music. I have an .SNDH gfa player routine
and would like to have a good until to make sounds in that format.

i need a Atari ST player, before it can save in .SNDH format.
I was in the process of making one, most of graphic interface was done, load score and instrument bank was finish, also start, pause, stop playing was finish,
but i still need to finish the hole player routine, i went dead in it, and it is on hold right now,
i needed to code something else, i had code on the ym-player/tracker for one year,
but i will continue on it later on.

Edit. 09-06-2012 22.31
i have just uploade some picture of my graphic interface, for the Atari ST ym-player.
the gfx are in mid res.
ym-player for st 2.PNG
ym-player for st 3.PNG

Hi I have just uploaded a new version of my Ym2149-player, i consider this to be the most important update that i have ever released.

I have change how the program handle the sound thread and that have improve the stability of the program
very much.
Sometime when changing device / export to wav /sampling frequency, etc. the program would hang, but that should be gone now.
I have rewritten the Ym2149 emulations, so it should be closer to that of a real Ym2149 chip.
I have also made a mixer window, where you can change stereo/ mono mode, reverb, and output volume of the channels. plus a lot more.
i have also remove a numbers of smaller errors.

Best Regards
peter

Having to work with .ym recordings recently, i tested those on your player (as you suggested in the Hatari thread i created about my .ym logging worries).
And while the instabilities (missing registers changes) can also be heard in it (and then really dues to Hatari YM logging process), i must say it's really much more faithful than ST Sound player.
ST Sound can sound really wrong on some things, like noise (noticeably in hit-hat use).

So thanks for this!

Hi thanks for reporting back :),
and i am glad if you can use it for something :D.

maybe i am going out on a limb, with what i am about to write, so please bear with me.

one of the biggest flaw, with the ym format is that most files is captured in 50hz i think that if you raise it to 200hz, it should be much more accurate, and I also think that it should not be so hard, to make a program that record the ym chip register every 200hz (maybe it have already been done) and save it to a file.
many people are looking down on the ym format (ym way), but it actually has some advantages over SNDH format and real time synth player.
one is that the time (CLK cycle) is constant, and an other is that it doesn't take much processor power, and the third i think that it would be much easier to make it run, in other language like basic. (not sure about the last point)
i am thinking of add export to YM file in my program, if somebody could use it.

you can self import new ym files to the program, just unpack the ym files and load them.
just remember that it can play ym-Sid/sample files.
it was never meant for the program to play ym files, if was just add to test my sound chip emulation.

thanks again
/Peter

I don't suppose you would take paid requests for composing tunes and uploading them to youtube would you?
I haven't a clue how to use trackers, but I love the idea of this <3

Sorry for asking but does it have the capability to open MID files and play them?
