Hi all.

i have not updated this thread a long time.
Due there was no interest at all, in the last uploads, so I stop to post my program here.
buy now there have been major change to the program so I thought it was time for an Update.

by accident I came to delete all my uploading, so I start from the beginning.

Choose between different sound card in you computer. (up to 8 )
Select playback rate from 44100 - 192000 Hz
Up to 8 times oversampling
Export to wav
Export rate up to 96000 Hz with 2 times oversampling

Score-based layout (no-patterns)

Volume envelope
Amplitude modulation
Hardware Buzzer

Sound resolution up to 300 Hz

Hi Dma the program runs in 1024x768 resolution.

i found some stupid Errors so i have update the program
and there is also a new Score (Panorama Disco) that is convert for the Amiga.

still missing:

sampling and wave synth.
port buzzer sound : score efx
fine tune score efx : score efx
bugs fixing.

Bug fixed 11-08-2011.

then loading a score while playing the score plays right
then loading a score with a diffident sound speed, the sound speed is set correct
the sound velocity is set correct in score EFX.
Amplitude Delay is now working then bend is also present.
then using bend reveres the start frequency is set active before bend delay.
score edit setfocus, you have clicked on Trackbar 1 to regain focus.
Port routine in Score EFX is rewritten.

Hi

I just uploaded one of my old test score, it was made by me, to test one of my old editor for the Atari,
I'm not a musician, so it not Super
it was made to test my bend routine so there is a lot of Efx in it.
then i made new sound for it (pc player) i discovered an error in my Chip-emulation that should be correct now.
i have also fix some other bugs.

Bug Fixed 14-08-2011.

Sound Core improvement
going into the tracker for the first time, the score End is greater then the score, Score End is 100 lines, Score length is 64 lines
remove Clear Instrument message box then instrument is empty
remove the ability to set node then scrollbar1 (score edit) is not in focus.
don't set active instrument on a Release Position.

bug fix:

fix Tempo when using play button and Block is On (set the right tempo)
set scrollbar1 position to Zero after loading a score

if you change Scrollbar1 in Play Mode
: and Score-Follow is on, it will play for the Scrollbar1 position.
: and Score-Follow is off but Ctrl is Hold, it will play for the Scrollbar1 position.


Ctrl+Shift : fast forward
activate forward button : fast forward button
Deactivate : Score Edit then instruments slider is Active
remove Courser : then Score edit is Deactivate
Dim Score-Edit Colors : then Score edit is Deactivate

I just tried this out. I'm hesitant to using tracking YM on PC with emulated sound but this tracker is quite nice for when you want to compose or experiment but are away from Atari. It's very solid and easy to understand and all its missing is more advanced features (sampling, STE digi channels, MOD import/export, etc.) but it seems you already have those planned. Great job so far!

I know development is halted for the time being but here's a small wishlist just in case:
-(optional) scrollbars on the whole window and the ability to resize it in case you're sharing the screen with other music apps/sheet music/notes/whatever
-ability to save/load or convert to a format that can be loaded in some popular trackers on real ST. I understand this part may be tricky. It also may be in there already but I didn't see it

Once again, nice work. Hopefully you find the time and will to continue development. It's really nice.

I have not stop completely,(had to fix some very annoying bugs)

but is hard when those who shall test the program does not report back,
it is difficult and takes a long time to both code and test,
so I'm happy for your input

there probably will not be any STE digisound, I have no knowledge of the Atari STE,
the only thing I know is it have a stereo DAC, that can run 50kHz, and then I also should have made ​​additional track to it,

resizing will probably be too difficult again it had to be made from the start,
but you can turn off the instrument edit (Pause/Break Key) and it will fills less (right now it is open for the sake of ease's)
you can also turn off completely for the tracker window so that only the small ym screen is open,
and the player still remains active, but I'll try to see if it's something I can do something about.

to save it to an other format will be very difficult because of my complex instruments, if it was samples it would have been easier,
but my idea is to create a player program for the Atari, and let the source code for the player be free, so people can use it in their programs, optimize and converts it.

there also come midi module into the PC player, a screen for itself where it uses the same sound structure

I also play around with the idea to make a midi module for Atari, again with the same sound structure,
but it's probably far in the future

this will likely be the last version for a while. I am in the process of start makeing Wave synth and samples.
so there is first a new version when I have something that works, or I should find some major errors.

Hi all

before i could start making my wave synth (sid sound) routine.
I had to look at a problem when you insert or delete data,
you might encounter that there came some error data,
for the most part,they did not do anything,but they could destroy the score,
or at worst, get the player to crash.

so i was force to have a look at them, before i went ahead and start on my synth mode.

i was starting to make a demo for the Atari ST.
Unfortunately, I had stop when I started on the ym-player

i have made a little video and uploaded to YouTube.
there is no text on any thing is quit simple an unfinished demo.
the music on it is form the ym editor, and are some of the sample files,
there is include in my packages.

the demo contain of 2 layers full screen parallax scrolling (with borders. i have cut out the borders in the video)
up to 25 raster tubes ( i think i show about 14-15).

It is another conversion of my friend old Amiga scores.
The score name is call Mighty Mouse, I have always imagined that it would fit a platform game.

i think it is to late to put STE sample in it, i should have done it from the start, making 2 extra tracks,
I have a hard time right now putting synth sound in it, it does not sound right
so i have to find a program for the ST there i can hear Sid-sound.

Thanks for the link, i did no know there was so many tracker for the ST, i have to try some of them.

i have got a little sid sound now, still missing a lot features (ex. save sid instruments single and bank, arpeggios, just for name a few) and there is still some sound problems.

here is a little sneak peek of how long I have come.
