Re: Atari ST HDD
Yes I have one in one of my STE machines connected to an internal IDE interface. If you do a search of the entire forum preferably in the hardware section, you will start to understand ways in which to connect a storage solution to your ST.

Re: Atari ST HDD
There are 2 ways.
1. Make an internal IDE like Shredder11 has on his STE. There may be some kit out there.
2. Get a ASCI-SCSI adapter and then a SCSI CF reader
Actually for point 2 you have 2 options.
1. SCSI CF adapter
2. SCSI-IDE converter and a IDE-CF adapter.
I would say option 1, SCSI adapter, is more reliable as it been shown that you cannot boot up from a SCSI-IDE converter.
Search the forums.

Hi, One of the best current solutions is the UltraSatan, which use SD cards.

Re: Atari ST HDD
I would rather suggest you getting a "Satan Disk" or an "Ultra Satan" (new version, faster and supporting SDHC cards).
It's an adapter for connecting a SD card as Atari ST hard-drive.
Check this Atari Age forum thread about possible ordering of an Ultran Satan (not sure if a new production batch will happen though) : http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/16 ... ge__st__50
[EDIT] Ah i've been "nativ-ed", as they say.

Re: Atari ST HDD
Ok, you asked for CF and the 2 solutions I gave are for CF.
Ultra Satan Disk is a great solution for ST.
I posted a link in AA as well in another post but it was for Satan Disk and it was in UK.

Re: Atari ST HDD
So you have to wait and do a bulk order?
Bit weird never had to do that before?

Re: Atari ST HDD
Happens all the time in Atari world
Typical stages are:
1 - there a announcement of a hardware project.
2 - then a another announcement to get more people to join in else project is not feasible.
(Can have several of these rounds.)
3 - project gets started, everyone is happy.
4 - people ask when it will be done, estimate date given.
5 - the people are told that some parts are difficult to find - add delay.
6 - the people are told that the pcb has some defect - add still more delay (sometime we are lucky and we do not get this stage)
7 - long period of silence from maker.... makes people jumpy and start to sling mud
8 - another period of silence from the maker....
9 - and another period of silence from the maker .... more mud slinging of course.
10 - finally maker says it is done and start to ship
11 - some shipping delay due to whatever reasons (volcano, earthquake, reruns of Star Wars, LOTR etc)
12 - some people finally gets the device
13 - some still waiting.....
14 - finally gets the device.

Just saw this:

Another one on offer now.
No wait time for manufacturing.... only shipping time.
