Alive 13 is released in all flavours :)
Finally Alive 13 has been released, you can grab:
- either the full version for harddisk or HD-floppy
- or the light version for DSDD-floppy
- or just stick to the web-issue.
Enjoy!

Yeah, and being a MacMini user i really enjoyed your document about Atari emulation on Mac. It also made me to read previous issues a bit closer which i was too busy (yeah right) to do earlier. I should try Aranym a bit more, it seems to have some potential...
BTW i've noticed that NoSTalgia's hard disk works better if you unmount the hd-image from finder after copying the files on it, and then start emulation. If it stays on the desktop while running NoSTalgia, i've always had tons of trouble with it...

Cool! Another one of us out there!Yeah, and being a MacMini user i really enjoyed your document about Atari emulation on Mac. It also made me to read previous issues a bit closer which i was too busy (yeah right) to do earlier. I should try Aranym a bit more, it seems to have some potential...

Good tip, but I've basically stuck with Hatari, as it is a lot easier to use in that regard, is pretty compatible, has STe emulation, and is still being developed. Only downside is, that I suspect the Mini is a tiny bit underpowered for it, (slow sound etc), but it is usually the first thing I try ST stuff on when I download it.BTW i've noticed that NoSTalgia's hard disk works better if you unmount the hd-image from finder after copying the files on it, and then start emulation. Anyway, I'm pleased there's something I've done which is directly useful, and not just of passing interest.

It'd be useful on the Wiki for some of the Mac owners to help update the pages where it's appropriate too

Main site: www.mug-uk.co.uk - digging up bits from my past: Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (ripping guides). I host a C64 Radio Show for a mate, Max Hall via www.chipsidshow.co.uk
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in for Word 2007 upwards. A toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: mikestoolbox.co.uk

@ CiH.
Do you have to use that (complicated) minishell to write article for the mag? Or can you just submit text articles to the Alive team?

You submit plain ASCII and then they re-format it where necessary.

You and MUG are both right.Do you have to use that (complicated) minishell to write article for the mag? Or can you just submit text articles to the Alive team?
You can submit plain ascii and one of us will reformat it as necessary.
But if you want some control over the way the article looks, add pictures to it etc, then it might be useful to get into using the minishell. It's not too hard really
