Higher than 400 pixels mono resolution is not a problem, but lot of the monochrome games do their own screen blitting and instead of checking screen size, hardcode ST-high screen width, or do not have large enough buffers for wider screens. Even some things that outwardly look like monochrome GEM games.
But there are quite a few proper GEM games, and some of the non-GEM mono games may also work in TT-high.

Falcon, Atari 520ST, 520STFM, 1040STE, Mega, TT and more PC's than I care to count and an assortment of 8 bit micros (nearly forgot the Psion's).
