Do you have xcontrol.acc enabled? Replace it by zcontrol.

Try to flash boot 1.05 from Insane and do tests.
Yours CPU appears like full 060 rev1.

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Did you try booting with "CNTRL" key held down to skip AUTO folder/ACCs?
Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Mine does this too. I have to run NVDI in auto for it to work.

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Isn't this the error when you let CT60 do the whole memory test and then boot afterwards?

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
I don't want to experiment in the dark. I've read that some people have flashed their CT60 to death, I don't want that.
I have no idea at all about the CT60 and need precise instructions including links to download ...

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Well then either make sure you interrupt the memory test early on or disable it completely (launch Uwe's BOOTCONF and set 0s there).
Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Looks similar to what is described here:
https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=35035
Test with setting the boot delay to 0 and see if it work. If yes. call it a day

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Turning off memory test doesn't help. When I want to use the ct60 cpx I always get “Unknow flash device”...
What can I do against it ?

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Then maybe you have the wrong 060, lowcost version without MMU/FPU...

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
IIRC there was someone on this or Exxos forum who successfully booted an EC or LC version.
The flashing error is very suspicious, CT60e doesn't use any "wrong" flash memories. I presume you used the 1.03d (not 1.03c) package from my GitHub site...maybe take a picture of your flash chips, just to be sure.

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
People in the past have had issues like this when mistakenly using the older ct60 control panel stuff. It was all patched/updated for the ct60e. But that doesn't explain why it crashes with control held down on boot. Or even booting without a hard disk.

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
I have a guess but don't know if it's true. Will have to check again tomorrow ...
When I turn the memory test off and the cpu is cold everything looks good but when the panic comes for the first time, it always comes after that first time no matter what I do.
it is a 50Mhz CPU and the CT60e doesn't allow me to run it at 50Mhz, the smallest is 66Mhz. What can I do there?

At this point, I would try another CPU.

Sorry, what Wayback machine? It's all on my GitHub site (sorry I'm away from the computer).

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Thanks for the Files ...
MiNT Info say the 68EC060 has a MMU and a FPU ...
I put a Heat sink with fan just placed loosely on the CPU and it runs like that for hours. I can't attach the heat sink and have to make something to attach it.

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
So it's all fixed now Frank? It was just that you needed the new files?
Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Frank add thermal paste on proc and on corners drop of super glue push heat sink but delicate and hold 1 min.
Now you have heat sink ok nothing moves.

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
I'll build something tomorrow for the heat sink. At the moment it's just lying on top without anything.
Are there any tools to test the MMU other than MiNT? I can install 060 FPU Emu Soft to run 68881/2 Test programs.
There are the assumption that there are factory labeled 68EC060 with defective FPU and MMU parts...?

Re: problems to install a CT60e ...
Yes 68EC060 labelled chips almost certainly always report they have MMU and FPU but they are not guaranteed to work correctly at speed or at all.frank.lukas wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 9:11 pm There are the assumption that there are factory labeled 68EC060 with defective FPU and MMU parts...?
Traditionally if there was a defect in the MMU or FPU (detected using scan techniques on a tester) but the rest of the chip was ok they were labelled EC (or LC). They didn't have fuses or bondouts in those days, it was up to the application not to use these features.
The number of defective chips sometimes fell short of demand and so fully working chips were sometimes labelled EC/LC.
