TOS 4.04 on PAK

Using the TOSPatch package I am trying to get 4.04 to work.
Everything seems to be OK, but there is a problem with the fonts. When you run it, you see something like this:




The same is true in LO and MEDIUM modes
When the drivers for the graphics card are launched, everything looks normal.
It's the same when I put NVDI.PRG into AUTO. Then it looks like this:



There are probably some errors in the addresses.
I was unable to run the revised TOS 4.04 on Falcon after loading into memory (colored bushes on the screen).
On PAK it works, but there is a problem described above.

TOS copies fonts into memory on boot, how to read the address where they are located ?

Falcon use always the Blitter. Even if there is no Blitter, you can not switch it off in TOS 4. Same with the DFB1 Speeder, you have to use NVDI to put the Blitter off or the Nova Driver ...

TosPatch option:
.Blitter = 0 ;1: Blitter erkennen,
;0: Blitter nicht benutzen (Default).

there is also another option:
.IGNORE_BLITTER = 0
or
.SoftBlitter = 0

EDIT: Even when there is a blitter on the motherboard (Mega ST) nothing changes.

That's true, you can't, simply because there are no "Soft" routines in TOS 4.04.

Yeah, this is a very common misunderstanding among Atari users (here and on FB): you can't disable Blitter, no matter how many checkboxes and configuration files you change. ;-)

The only real solution is to replace TOS4 VDI with e.g. NVDI or your graphics card's VDI.

And yes, this applies also to CT60 TOS.

It doesn't even work on a motherboard with Blitter on it.
But when you load NVDI or card drivers it works normally.

my guess is that TOS 4.04 may be dependent on the Falcon's hardware (DSP, MATRIX, VIDEL etc.)
