Hi all,
Can someone have a go at trying to get POV149 menu working on Hatari?
I wrote the menu many years ago and it detects what machine it is running on and then selects the mod playback code. It works in Hatari when I select the machine as an STe but the menu fails when I select the machine to be a Falcon (the menu has a dedicated Falcon mod reply code). I have tried loads of different machine combinations and different TOS images but I just can't get it working.
I don't have a physical Falcon set up at the moment so I can't test it.
Thanks in advance,
Mark (MSD/POV)

Re: POV149 menu fails
DSP replay does work in Falcon mode, but screen updates do not. What's more interesting, is that it somehow causes Hatari screen updates to fail.
While I can invoke Hatari shortcuts, including options dialog, Atari screen is not refereshed when dialog goes away, and statusbar does not update e.g. when toggling fast forwarding. This looks like Hatari bug.
The menu seems somewhat buggy too, as it panics EmuTOS v.1.2.1 under Falcon emulation. It can be started under EmuTOS in STE emulation, but only the first demo works, second panics.

Used to love all the POV menus and collected about 95% of the disks in the day!

Re: POV149 menu fails
Probably related to POV149 menu having Videl screen height of 1 pixel. When I disable Hatari aspect correction ("--aspect off"), it looks like this:Eero Tamminen wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:54 pm While I can invoke Hatari shortcuts, including options dialog, Atari screen is not refereshed when dialog goes away, and statusbar does not update e.g. when toggling fast forwarding. Re: POV149 menu fails
I was only trying to get the menu working to put on my youtube channel, I didn't try to run the demos.Eero Tamminen wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:54 pm The menu seems somewhat buggy too, as it panics EmuTOS v.1.2.1 under Falcon emulation. I will try and get my Falcon hardware setup and record it via a video capture device. I may also get chance to debug the code, it was my first attempt at videl code back in the day.

Re: POV149 menu fails
This problem still remains under Falcon emulation in latest Hatari Git version. It also still (constantly) bombs under EmuTOS Git version too, on Falcon.
