Look on the speccy magazine sites (e.g. Crash / Your Sinclair) - there's bound to be someone who has posted a map to the mags and it's been scanned in and on the site for all eternity.

Dont forget the PC remake that in development (finsihed?)

A goodle search or remakes.org should point you in the right direction. Not checked on this one for a while

TCKs conversion of Impossaball and Anarchy were excellent .. didn't take long for me to do a trainer for either of them.

Did one for N.O.M.A.D too but he asked me not to release it as it had an online score option in the game and didn't want any cheats getting to the top!

Good to see he's still coding great conversions for the current Remakes compo.

Starquake and Spellbound remakes

Post by sickfish »

Hi all -

I'm one half of Sherbetsheep, the team that's remaking Starquake and (in for the compo that ends in three days) Spellbound. I kinda tripped over this forum whilst looking to see if Spellbound was ever released on the ST?

I've come across the rather poor platform game of the same name, but I was actually wondering if David Jones' game ever hit the 16-bit scene?

Incidentally - if you're interested in news about the Starquake or Spellbound remakes feel free to pop by our site at http://www.sherbetsheep.co.uk.

Cheers!

welcome sickfish - well I know for a fact that Strombringer was released on the ST, but I don;t recall the earlier games being released

Should you wish to see it there's a copy on an early LSD/WAS NOT WAS menu from what I recall

Spellbound is available for the ST, check the D-Bug menus,
also, the previous game to this is also on the ST I think, but can't remember the name, was cool though! :)
Finders Keepers!
Maybe that one was only on the 8 bit though?

Nope! That game is not the Mastertronic/M.A.D. game - it's something totally different. There's also a game called spellbound, which if I recall correctly, is similar to Q-Bert - and hence definitly not the same game!

For those interested the Magic Knight games were (in order)

Finders Keepers
Spellbound
Knight Tyme (48 and 128 K versions for the Speccy)
Stormbringer (48 and 128 K versions for the Speccy)

The latter was released on the ST as we know from above...

The original SPELLBOUND from Mastertronic never came out for the ST.

Ah, thanks for the correction lads!
And as a token of shame for not actually running spellbound before I posted my falsehood claim, I have located the Stormbringer Disk to be on Automation 28, and I have tested it this time!, just bear in mind, it is an Automation after all, and as such carries the usual guarantees!
The LSD version I am not sure about as I seem to have no list for my collection of LSD menus, anyone got a nice list I could cadge?

Cheers

The "Automation 28" you mention should be the LSD/WNW disk - they only became Automation after disk 50 or whatever it was...

Yet again, I am corrected! (sort of).
I will therefore leave this conversation to those who actually know what they are talking about!

Cheers

ok I just discovered this game! Seems cool, but how do you play it and whats the story? I also found this for the Atari 800! I guess you cannot jump? Any pointers would be great.
