Question

Post by TXG/MNX »

Hi,

I just dumped digidesign sound designer v1.31 original disk with greaseweazle. Its dumped as hfe and I can succesfully load the new disk.

For version 1.5 there is only a .stx file, that loads fine in an emulator. So the .stx file should have the protection scheme in it.
Which tool can convert it to scp or hfe so I can write it back to a real floppy"?

Could you load the .stx in Hatari as drive B, load a blank .hfe file in drive A. Then use something like Fastcopy3 to make a duplicate from B to A?

If not, then perhaps the HxC utilities might do it?

Hi,

In first place, please redump your original disk but dumping directly to a SCP file instead of HFE, which is not as good. Then please post it so that we can properly preserve it.

The HxC tools can, sometimes but not always, successfully convert an STX image to SCP or HFE.
