It's been about a year since I updated http://www.stformat.com but I've just added scans and pdf's for another 20 issues

Every ST/Amiga Format and all ST Format issues from 0 to 61 are all now available on-line, either at http://www.stformat.com or Atari Mania.

This leaves me less than 20 issues to scan to complete the run. I'll target the one not available on Atari Mania.

Have been through all the issues currently online adding magazine references to the atari wiki to help people make better use of the great resource you have put together.

Maybe you can offer him a trade, some of yours for some of theirs, there's a contact form on the top right of the menu bar.

Or just link to them like you have done with Atari Mania?

How do you go about doing your scans btw? Do you cut the spine off the mag and then feed it through an auto sheet feeder?

Yes, afraid so! Though I have duplicates of some, so still have one complete version.

I have a few ST Action's, and other ST mags (anyone remember STampede - all 7 issues?) that I also have scanned and will put on stformat.com one day!

Ah the memories, remembering the days running to the local newsagent, frantically wanting to get home to check what was on the cover disk!

I echo what has already been said, www.stformat.com is a thing of beauty. Beautifully designed with beautiful content, in full technicolor no less.

If you are missing any issues (of any ST related magazine!) then let me know. I collect them and have literally thousands of issues.

What type of scanner do you use? Is it A3?

For scanned magazines CBR (comic book reader) is far more handy to use then PDF. You will find great free comic book readers just about anywhere, for any system. I regulary read old computer magazines in my mobile using the android comic book reader. Else i regulary read both computer magazines and comics using Cdisplay for Windows.

This little handy app automatically converts any scanned PDF magazine to CBR format instead. CBR is simply regular JPG pictures (of each page in the magazine) put in a standard zip archive renamed to .cbr

But remember, this app just works for scanned magazines so don't try to convert non scanned PDF magazines.

You will find plenty of advantages using CBR instead of PDF. You can even put together your own favourite ST Format Magazine by picking your favourite reviews from lots of different issues of ST Format and then put your favourite pages in a standard zip file and rename it to .cbr (i did)

This (windows) app is PD and the source code is in there too.
