st-computer magazine released in German + English
If you didn't catch the forum thread at dhs.nu or one of my posts to various ST Facebook groups: Two new issues of st-computer magazine have been released!
The first one is the English version of st-computer 08/2014, updated with the look of st-c 10/14 and some other changes:
- 50 Years of BASIC - All BASIC interpreters/compilers for Atari computers and consoles
- News: Kiwi computer, BadMooD, FireTOS beta, ACE Tracker 2.0, STOS-Compiler 3.0, Atari PlayOne, UpToDate
- Print: ST-Magazin 8/89, 20 Years Atari Inside
- Features: Atari 2014
- Software: Atoric, Oric emulator
- Relax: Giana Sisters STE, Pac-Mania STE, E.T.
- Love the Machine: Atari Portfolio
The second one is st-computer 10/14 in German language. This issue includes a big special about the Atari STE, a guide to vocabulary trainers on the Atari and reviews of Beats of Rage, all Flappy Bird clones, Whitewater Madness, 2048 and Sweety Thingies.
There is a brief print run of the German magazine and we think about doing one for the English one as well. Price would be 9 Euro including postage, or 14,90 Euro, if you order two. Payment via paypal. If there is enough interest, of course.
Also, I'm open to article submission. This has so far been a solo effort with the exception of the cover of st-c 10/14.

Re: st-computer magazine released in German + English
Downloaded the English version, looks nice.
Any chance we can see back (and future?) issues
re-released in English as well? (at least the PDF,
I can understand it would be much harder to back
up and redo print in English).
Thanks for all the hard work.

Re: st-computer magazine released in German + English
st-computer is pretty much a one-man project and so far there are no volunteers writing articles or translating from German to English. So chances of another English issue are slim at the moment. Of course, if someone writes an article in English and submits it, it will be released in English.DarkLord wrote: Any chance we can see back (and future?) issues

Some issues of st-computer, especially the later ones (2001-2004) are archived completely at stcarchiv.de. I also translated a few of my articles back in the day for Atari Times UK. Then there were a couple of articles first published in MyAtari and then translated to German.
Still, that would leave a lot of text that someone would've to translate and I don't think enough people are interested in e.g. a st-computer 02/2002 English edition.
Printing isn't really an issue - for a print run, we would need at least twenty issues to be ordered, but then there are always print-on-demand services.

Re: st-computer magazine released in German + English
Thanks, ordered the 10/2014 issue (German). Do you have plans to reprint the 08/2014 issue? I missed that one.dbsys wrote:I am doing the printed versions of ST-Computer (08/2014 and 10/2014).penguin wrote: Printing isn't really an issue - for a print run, we would need at least twenty issues to be ordered, but then there are always print-on-demand services.

Currently I do not have plans to have the German ST-Computer 08/2014 reprinted. It will require at least 20 sold copies. I doubt this will happen soon.
Re: st-computer magazine released in German + English

Just a small correction:
st-computer 10/2014 is only available in German language. Konstantin (dbsys) is talking about st-computer 08/2014 English edition.

Well ... I am interested only in English language as I dont know German. Konstantin wrote 10/2014 but maybe that was by mistake. I am interested also in English 08/10 edition but much more in 10/2014penguin wrote:Just a small correction:

Nonetheless, a printed version will be possible with at least 20 paid orders for issue 08/2014 (in English).
