Post by scarrabri »

Hi seem to have started a debate on the Amiga org forum under my mrmoonlight name perhaps I can ask the same question here
which is the best for music ,The Atari or the Amiga ,I know what the Amiga sounds like because I have a A1200 and a A600 and they sound pretty good to me ,but I have just bought a Atari st which is due to arrive latter on this week and I have heard a few Atari tunes and they also sound pretty good but I am trying to get a balanced answer not easy in amiga/Atari forums ,best wishes Brian :) :)

Well I think it depends which kind of music you are talking about. Midistuff? Chipmusic?

Built-in MIDI interface and during the golden years of the Atari/Amiga, state-of-the-art MIDI software. The Atari was used for MIDI sequencing in studios. The computer itself did not produce any sounds (in this environment).
