Perihelion was murdered Saturday February 24 th 2007.

Post by mib5150 »

It is with huge sadness and tears in my eyes I have to inform you that last Saturday Andreas Wahlin, a k a Perihelion - author of the m68k, was brutally murdered.

Some idiots thought that they needed his stuff more than him, and stabbed him from behind.

He was a close friend of mine, and he surely revitalized the Atari ST through his work with the tut.

He will be missed. R.I.P., Andreas!

If Andreas and/or any of his work has meant something to you, feel free to tell us all using this thread.

/ Lars (friend of Andreas and secretary of Swedish Atari Club)

Herre gud! Jag är verkligen chockad, det här känns oerhört tungt att höra. Träffade aldrig Andreas men vi brukade snacka på en del på ICQ.

Very sad news.

Oh my God 8O
We were good friends, I met him here at this forum, at first I thought he was a woman (due to his Avatar), we had many a laugh at each others' expense, and many a nice chat about things outside of this place, I just can't believe this news, what a tragedy... :(

Rest in Peace Andreas, you will be missed old friend.

OMG! I was happy reading Marcer's post about being a daddy and then I read this. I remember Perihelion from the early days of this forum and he was a very nice guy.

Rest in peace mate. Hope you are somewhere better.

I spoke with Andreas' mother on the phone just now, and she thanks you all for your support.

And so do I, as well.

/ Kind regards,

Jeez ... first good news with Marcer's new one and now this.

Will make sure something is placed on the Wiki to let the world know of his input to the Atari scene.

Brume .. can you do the necessary on Atari Legend?
