HI,

I am having problems with some arcade cores, but I checked the checksums posted here and they are correct.

Bombjack and pheonix work

burger time, donkey kong, frogger, galaga, galaxian, moon crester, mspack man, pack man and time pilot all give me a blank screen, the leds go off and none of the buttons on my IO board do anything.

This is the same on HDMI and VGA.

Can anyone offer things I should check ?

Pure speculation on my part but maybe your Mister binary is not up to date?

Are you on the latest version?

It's a new board and fresh install so I should be, but I will double check.

Sorgelig, could you please provide the MD5 hashes for the following roms when you have time?

a.bubbles.rom
a.colony7.rom
a.cclimb.rom
a.joust.rom
a.mayday.rom
a.robtrn.rom
a.zigzag.rom

Thanks

Here are my MD5 sum's.
I have checked them with a friend who has done it independently from me.

MD5 (a.bubbles.rom) = cf1f9388016bf30fd6300050a8b19b2c
MD5 (a.cclimb.rom) = b6b06723da0f0e6e183723285b0bf5be
MD5 (a.colony7.rom) = 42ea5d44a98636d09bec25e4a64886fd
MD5 (a.joust.rom) = 8449f80f45dc82116fef6964b73d1d10
MD5 (a.mayday.rom) = 05cb61d69c6251856bdcb95ee7924436
MD5 (a.robtrn.rom) = 75a314ae1f4e1c99ec8ad914ed6e1c4e

I don't have created zigzag yet so...cant provide MD5.

Understood, I just took your hashes to be the canonical source of truth :D

Thank you very much! These match mine, so that is super useful.

For zigzag I have:
MD5 (a.zigzag.rom) = 273678b3c924d6c56072e56fa12944f2

Hopefully that will match yours.
Thanks again

Another thing I forgot to mention:

for the following ROMS:
a.galaxn.rom
a.pengo.rom
a.mspcmn.rom

I had to use these zips from my MAME set:
galaxian.zip
pengo.zip
mspacman.zip

and rename as:
galaxianm.zip
pengojpm.zip
mspacmab.zip

in order to have the correct parts and generate a final ROM with the correct MD5.
Is this a bug in the batch files? i.e. were the incorrect source zips inadvertently specified?

e.g. galaxianm.zip only contains:
galmidw.z
galaxian.l1
galaxian.j1

whereas galaxian.zip contains:
1h.bin
1k.bin
6l.bpr
7l
galmidw.u
galmidw.v
galmidw.w
galmidw.y

I've looked at several ROMSETS and the above file contents seem to match across versions i.e. I don't see how it would be possible to generate a.galaxn.rom from galaxianm.zip.

Thanks

It's funny how people complain that Xevious doesn't work, seeing that the CRC 32 checksum for the correct romset was posted long ago:

When you find a moment could you please post your a.gng.rom md5 checksum? I would like to include it in the build_rom.ini
Thanks!

It's japanese version with invulnerability support. Not the default one in bat file.

Ghosts 'n Goblins is difficult, maybe I should get that ROM :)

this one seems to work (so far) - built with the bat file

Even with vulnerability it's not easy as there are many places where you fall down and die :)

I was able to verify all the checksums except Catacomb.

Can anyone verify the Catacomb hash? I have `dfda39951da1cf12279a6dcf030ee09d`. If anyone has the hash `bf9ff64c330d2a88d6d0d47668b05ffe` from the build_rom.ini what version of MAME is it from? I'm trying .158.
