Spectrum 512 pictures
When I got Spectrum 512 for my Atari it was difficulty to get graphics or even photos to use with. Now good photo material is easy to find, and in fact of this I had the idea to try to make some .spc pictures. This is a bit difficulty, because I need to convert the pictures a fiew times until it becomes Amiga IFF format wich can Spectrum read. Is there anyone interested of some .spc photos? I woul be able to give them online here. The photos are taken by myself; so there is no need to worry about copyrights. =)

Hmm, why not try Photochrome?
It can read .TGA aswell, has a superb display quality for viewing and it can export to Spectrum 512 if needed...

Oh, I didn´t know about that. Today I was going this way:
Loading in photoshop elements, resize to 320 x 200, reduce to a 64 color palette mode with a suitable differing method, saving to .gif, loading into Papillon 2.0 with Stemulator, saving as Amiga IFF format and then loadin into Spectrum 512 in Steem..

I've converted some JPEG's to SPU using a program called ACDSee which is a batch converter/picture manipulator program. I converted JPEG->TGA and then loaded them into Photochrome. The problem I've found is that with other programs they don't save the .TGA files out quite right for Photochrome to handle. You either get the pictures converted with the wrong colours (I.E. the picture is converted and displayed with stronger elements to the pallete:- too red, green or blue) or the picture is totally corrupt. ACDSee works gretat, although I have to admit I've never used Photoshop.
