Realtime chord display

Post by qazuio »

Is there a midi program that can display incoming midi notes with onscreen keyboard and show a chord name for those notes?

Some folks might find this useful to have if using Roland Aria/Korg Volca/ desktop synths etc.

Indeed, such kind of software would be nice to have.

Hopefully someone here knows the answer.

Thanks.

I had been using Cubase, on the grid edit (only shows chords after playback), forgot about the score edit.

As to Sequencer One, select "Screens" -> "Step editor" from the menu, then click to "KEYB" button on the right.

You will then see on the keyboard (at bottom of the screen) which notes come in, and each note is recorded in the Step editor above it.

There are no names shown for the chords or individual notes though.
