SPX pictures

Post by Nyh »

Hi

To test a picture file converter I am looking for .SPX files. A spix file is a file with multiple Spectrum 512 pictures creating one big picture. At the moment I have only two .SPX files to test. According to a .SPX viewer source there are multiple formats for .SPX files. Please send me your .SPX files so I can test my program.

I have got a big mailbox so don't be afraid to send big e-mails to:
nyh@suiker.org

Thanks

Or post them here and I'll host them on my site for a time if necessary?

I've got 9 disks worth of SPX files here. I will MSA them and get them uploaded in the next few days. Please check out the '3500 disks' thread in Chat Eng on this forum, I will post there once they are uploaded.

Yes, I have got them. Two new .SPX type files to work on! Thank you! (Also updates my packer collection. Thank you again!) You have got a nice bandwith. :-)

No worries. Marcer's disks can usually be grabbed from his FTP server:

marcer.dyndns.org on port 1698
Login: Demo
Password: Demo

I had a quick look and there is a Legion folder on there.

Cheers,

Rich

Thanks! FileZilla is busy right now. I mean, the Legion folder is now on my network drive too! :-) I think I will return to this great FTP server. Thanks Marcer, thanks Rich!

Sorry for posting in this old thread, but I have exactly the same question. I'm also looking for SPX images to test my viewer tool. Where can I download "The Legion CD 11-53" mentioned in the thread?

Thanks, downloaded. I want to say that this is a somewhat specific collection of images :)

Some files have the "ATM5" signature. Looks like they were packed by some packer. A search for "ATM5" brings up a mention of Atomik Packer. Is there documentation about the decompression algorithm?

ATOM_V36.zip
this is the most recent version I have, it's got the depack source bundled with it, but thats about it

from memory, the ATM5 part could be used with a memory resident depacker that meant you could compress .MOD files etc but still load them as normal in Protracker etc
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
