Floppies files work... or not !

Post by HuggyOne76 »

Hi everybody,

I own a CosmosEx v1 on my Atari STE (4 Mb).
I tried some floppies files (.msa or .st) on my CosmosEx and if a lot of them run perfectly well, some of them don't. For example, if I download here :
https://ftp.untergrund.net/users/ltk_ts ... DDLY_P.ZIP
No problem, the .msa file of the Cuddly Demo runs perfectly.
But if I download this file :
http://pacidemo.planet-d.net/archives/CRICKEY.ZIP
my STE will boot and start to load the floppy and... seems to freeze when 62 is on the monitor (but the music continues and nothing else happen)...
I tried with the only Atari STE PSU but also with an external power unit.
I tried to download the file from the web interface and with the STE itself.

So... Tried with my HxC Floppy interface and everything runs with no problem.

What do you think about that ? Do you have issues with some files which work with other interface ?
If you try the files from my examples, is it ok for you ?

Could I reinstall the Linux distrib to help ?

Thank you for your help.
