Re: MIST C64 core
No problem here as core.rbf. Do you have the latest firmware?

Re: MIST C64 core
Thanks, it works with the latest firmware, missed the update.
Re: MIST C64 core
Here's a new one, it loads Out of Contex, and runs Krestage 1 fully (the multiplexer part is not black).

Re: MIST C64 core
I confirm!
Out of Contex, and Krestage 1 works very well.
BTW. Vandalism News and Attitude also works.
While one demo was fixed, several others were fixed.
Thanx very much!
Break news.

Re: MIST C64 core
The first graphic glitch is fixed in c64-200401 core versión, but the second still remains. Tested with VGA and RGB video outputs.desUBIKado wrote:
I have seen the TSUNAMI demo again and I have only seen two graphic glitches.
In this video the graphic errors do not appear, but in the execution with the core they do:

Re: MIST C64 core
My combined ROM with JiffyDOS is not longer working. It works with c64_191220 and older, and it doesn't work with c64_200328 and 200401.
If I try to use it with newer versions there is black screen only, scandoubler disable from ini is not respected, and MiST is very unstable in F12 menu (hangs if I try to change core etc.)
Best regards,
Goran

Re: MIST C64 core
My JiffyDos Kernal is working fine with the latest C64 core, when I start it with the core. When I start with the original kernal and try to change the kernal I get the black screen as well (the same vice versa).

Here is my ROM if needed.

No idea then, would be good to see the ARM output on the serial port.
Are Genesis/SNES cores working? They're also using the direct ROM upload feature.

The latest versions of the SNES and Genesis core work fine, loading an alternate kernal file also works for me up to version 191220.

I don't have any debug tools yet and I have a Mac. If I can provide some info please advise how.

Re: MIST C64 core
I deleted some commented lines from mist.ini:

;no_csync=0
;ypbpr=1
scandoubler_disable=1
;hid_button_remap=0810,0001,51,8

and now everything works ok as far as i can tell.
It seems that new cores parse misti.ini in a different way.
EDIT: When I do the same on the other card I still get black screen with middle (yellow) led lit constantly.

Re: MIST C64 core
Send me your mist.ini as is, which doesn't work, I can check the ini parser then.goran wrote:I deleted some commented lines from mist.ini:

The core doesn't parse the ini file, the firmware does.

Re: MIST C64 core
Hi goran,
your combined C64 ROM...
...is the same as mine. No problem here with latest C64 core 200401 and MiST firmware 200311.
Remember: the Load Kernal *.ROM OSD option is for loading a kernal ROM only - not a combined ROM.
I have three C64 ROM files on my SD card:
Switching back and forth original kernal and jiffydos kernal works without any problems for me.

Re: MIST C64 core
Thanks retrofun.
Well, I'm sure that slingshot is right and there is something wrong with SD card. Yellow led stays on and I think that indicate card access.
What is strange that older C64 cores work OK, and two latest doesn't. On the same card.
The one SD card that is working contains only menu, C64 cores and C64 files, where the one that doesn't work contains a lot of other 8 bit cores and files. Same mist.ini that Slingshot checked and is OK. I don't know if these other files interferes with C64 core initialization but I think that's impossible.
One question: when You select "Save settings" in C64 core menu, where are those settings saved?

In Rocketry by Chorus bugs:
in the second part: letter Y in top right corner is not OK
in the third part (rocket): flickering from time to time
fourth part (bars): at the bottom of the bars is the brown line, not supposed to be there
THE END part: there are yellow bars in the left border, not supposed to be there

It does the opposite else what demos usually do: not opens, but closes the border on that line (e.g. the whole line should be a border).goran wrote: fourth part (bars): at the bottom of the bars is the brown line, not supposed to be there

Re: MIST C64 core
Is the good version was captured on MiST? I think I checked old cores, and it wasn't good on that too (btw the problem is about switching the sprite expansion switch in proper places).
