As you might have seen, I started using MaxYMiser recently.

For a (Windows) game I made for one of my very best friends, I took the opportunity to create a new MaxYMiser soundtrack!!

Anyway: I published two short tunes from my recent project: one for failure, one for success. They didn't take very long to create, but I did really enjoy composing them. They're called 'Better Luck Next Time!' and 'You Did It!' and available for download through the link shared throughout this topic, and I also uploaded two videos of them (click on the titles to watch them).

Here's a new tune! This one was rather experimental, but I do really like how it turned out.

This is the first in a new series, where I base a tune on a certain setting used in video games. In this case, Plains/Grassland. I wonder if I'm the first to use bird sounds in an Atari tune... probably not, actually, but I don't know.

Thank you very much! No, I am not, and sometimes I have felt like I wasn't improving (and I do think my previous MaxYMiser tune, Whistling Winds, might be my weakest yet). However, I do try to both attempt new things and remember what's worked in the past.
My current WIP is a 'nasty' boss theme. Inspired by your hardware renders, I want to record it from the real hardware (which is something I haven't done in a while, as it often sounds less clean). I guess the COVID-19 crisis, which has made me stay with my family, makes it easier to do this, as now I am always close to the real hardware, instead of only seeing it once in a fortnight.
After that, inspired by the comments on botb, I'd like to make a tune that would play on ST, so without use of the DMA channels. Possibly one inspired by the music for the Mega Man games, which I have wanted to do since watching this video, years ago.
