Superior menus

Where I can find a complete Superior collection? I mean complete like Dbug, FOF, or Pompey collections. In all the sites where I found the Superior menus (atari.co.uk, climatics, blitter ftp) there are always a lot of files missing or corrupted.

When the Malleus FTP was online, he make a collection including almost all of the menus, but some of them were still damaged.

Any idea?

Hi Silver Surfer,

The Superior collection on this FTP includes the same files gathered by Malleus. You can note this in the filenames (SUPEXXX). And menu 89b is missing, too, like it was on the Malleus FTP (It can be found at blitter FTP).

I have done some testing on my superior collection and it seems like alot of the disks are duff and I don't have the 89b disk either.

This will certainly need some working on...

My next little project was to have the superior disks up for download on the website... And I thought I had all the disks in order.

Hi Silver Surfer,

Here is menu 89b.

I have to correct myself (the post about Superior 65). Menu 65 works fine with Steem 2.2 using TOS 1.02 US.

I tested all the Superior menus, and the following menus crash (at least running under Steem 2.2) when the intro appears: 56, 57, 64, 68A, 71, 140A. I think it could be a problem related to the sound emulation.

I also found problems with many games included in the menus. My real ST isnÂ´t working, so IÂ´m not sure why they crash. Maybe the disk images are corrupted, or it could be a problem with some packer (I had problems before with cracks from the Replicants).

It would be better to test the menus in a real ST. Another possibility is to contact Darren Birks and ask him, he is some kind of guru

of the ST menus. In the LGD games forum said he has all of the Superior menus, including working versions of duff menus and missing menus, too.

I tested again the Superior menus and FOF>40, and it seems that Steem 2.2 always crashes with the intros of the following menus:

I think that it could be a problem with the emulator.

Yes it is, we have found and fixed the FOF menu problem for the next version of Steem. I haven't tested the problematic Superior menus yet but it is very possible that it was the same thing. I will look into the other problems as soon as I can download the disks, thanks to everyone who has been testing.

This sure is great news! I am quite sure that some of the Superior menus will start to work too, cause it looks like they used the same menu code over and over again. I am really looking forward to the next release of Steem!!
