I grew up on your side of the atlantic (Ireland) and my first machine was a 1040STe - it's still safely over there. I graduated to a C-LAB Falcon MkX which remains my pride and joy - luckly scored one of the last ones. I was a long time holdout before heading down the Mac/PC route in '99.
