Suggestions on good disassemblers, please...
Was a long time since I used a disassembler but now I need one. What's the preferred one nowadays (must be capable of dealing with 68030 instructions)?
Thanks,
Daniel

Does the old favourite Easyrider handle 68030? Or did it not progress that far (not that I use that feature of it).
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Easyrider was what I used in the 90's... can't remember if it was able to handle 68030 instructions though. Anything else out there?

TT Digger is really, really good but its UI, that is another story. Every time I have to use it, it takes me a good 20 minutes to figure everything out.
Then you can of course use Hatari's abilities, that is my usual choice if I don't need to reassemble it again.

Does it have to run natively, i.e. on the Atari? If not, may I suggest Ghidra: http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 2&p=371710. A bit of a learning curve but a lot more features that just disassembling.

Thanks for all suggestions! I'll give both TT Digger and Ghidra a chance. This gives me a good reason for digging into Ghidra. I saw your post about it some weeks ago and read the overview of it. Seems to be pretty awesome!

German is OK, but sure, I would prefer an English resource if such one exists, but what does this have to do with the topic?charles wrote:why don't u use the English resource to TT-digger then ? schriben duetchensence?

- Easyrider can certainly decode 030 instructions
- A quick search here for 030+ instructions (such as pflusha) suggests that ghidra also supports 030 instructions.
