Any recent news regarding crown of creation lately? How close are we to an emulator working disk image?

Perhaps maartau could tell us.

Also, it would be nice to test the kryoflux images on hatari, to see if they are now recognized as original.

Well received  . I'll have another look via debugger -> the protection is well embedded in the code, what you change on a side breaks on another :( .

Anyway, I remain active, no problems  .

I played this on my Falcon a while back, seemed I had found a working copy, I just was terribly bad at it. Where does the copy protection kick in, because it sounds like I couldn't have been playing a cracked version.

Anyone else find it odd that the top tier hardest game to find for the Falcon is this one, and the hardest to find for the Jaguar is Battlesphere, and they are both rather similar games?

Hi,

Same question for me.
I think I have a working version (ie no cracktro at the beginning).
I enter the manual word as requested by the game and then, I can play the game.

Is there a limitation later in the game if I entered a correct word ?
Or is the protection only related to the word to enter from the game manual ?

Does the crack "only" consist in returning OK if you don't write a correct word ?

It works well under hatari for me ;)

Yeah, same thing happened to me back then when I played it. It ended at mission 18-20 or something. The main problem was I think that the game was too easy. Silly levels of easy. But nothing stopped me from reaching the end.. I think at least.

All is fine between the dumps & the doc 8) .

I tried to remove / crack / bypass the "passwords" protection -> after several methods, always same result -> it crashes later  ... That's why I said it's hard to crack / well embedded :) .

At least, we have the manual ... I'll retry to "break" it later, it needs a lot of time to trace the whole :) .

The one on Marcer's GameDVD is the one I have, which still requires the manual. There was talk about getting a SuperCardPro or Kryoflux dump on Facebook, but they so far only linked back to this thread about the manual.

Try to contact MacFalcon, he is still around and I have a "file dump" of the original he owns. So perhaps he can help you with a disk dump as well.

So what is the current status of the disk dumps (not the crack, obviously there hasn't been any yet) ? Do we still need kryoflux images or those are around already? (where?)
