Re: amiga joysticks
The brand is plugable it’s says usb to db9
Re: amiga joysticks
if this one: http://plugable.com/products/pl2303-db9/
then it has no relation to Amiga joysticks. It's USB-RS232 converter.
Not every DB9 is about Amiga joystick.

Re: amiga joysticks
this one https://retro.7-bit.pl/?lang=en&go=proj ... e=rys_mkii is supposed to be a 2-way converter (depends on firmware). I've used it to plug USB joysticks to Amiga's DB9. But i didn't try opposite functionality.
Re: amiga joysticks
From looks of it you reflash rys with amiga to pc usb firmware and use a usb to usb cable to connect to usb. Think I'll just use my diy usb arcade stick.

I have used the adapter from https://www.retronicdesign.com/en/ to use an Amiga mouse on MiSTer with no issues. Obviously a modern optical mouse is much better than the old roller ball variety.
Have also used the Keyrah v2 to connect an A600 keyboard and DB9 joysticks -- in this case, a Sega Master System gamepad. Again, haven't had any issues, all seems to work.

It's not cheap, but you can upgrade that Amiga mouse to optical...mattsoft wrote:I have used the adapter from https://www.retronicdesign.com/en/ to use an Amiga mouse on MiSTer with no issues. Obviously a modern optical mouse is much better than the old roller ball variety.

Re: amiga joysticks
Yeah, at that point though, I'd rather just use a USB optical mouse with the MiSTer.BBond007 wrote:It's not cheap, but you can upgrade that Amiga mouse to optical...mattsoft wrote:I have used the adapter from https://www.retronicdesign.com/en/ to use an Amiga mouse on MiSTer with no issues.
