Faults on the C: \ partition

Hi,

For several days I have some serious problem on my falcon 060, I use an IDE2SD adapter and 64GB card, earlier I used it for several months, I did not notice something like that, very often when changing from 030 to 060 there are errors on the C:\ partition, please look at the photo, change the names of folders and files.

Does anyone see something like that knows where the cause is ?

Could be RF noise problems. I had the same problem with my IDE to CF adapter before I shielded and grounded the ribbon cable. The Falcon030 motherboard suffers from a lot of RF noise.

Could you you write me more information, How did you do that ? I use 16 cm ribbon cable to my IDE2SD adapter

Wrap the cable in aluminium foil, and attach it to ground in both ends. You should also cover the foil with tape or paper or something to avoid accidental short circuits.

I did exactly what Joska suggested. I grounded both ends of the shield and used electrical tape to isolate the aluminium foil. This was done 8 years ago and ever since I've had no more problems.

Yesterday, evening I change to the other ribbon cables (16 cm) and since then I have not noticed such a problem as I described at the beginning.

Unfortunately, but it was only a partial success, the problem began to repeat, very often if in mode 060 the system will crash and after reboot it is the same again. My colleague will tell me the idea that this is a virus, but I doubt it very much.
It will be necessary to return probably to the subject of aluminum foil insulation.
I am thinking about a power problem, if the 3.5 IDE HDD connection does not have this problem (in this case I am using the external ATX power supply).

I just wanted to add maybe this is the reason?
Normally I use the PICOPSU power supply from which the FDD, CT63 and additional PCI board are powered (I have a modified and I do not use 3.3V at all) and the motherboard powers the IDE2SD.
I used thre OCI cards: Radeon, Realtek, and NEC USB card

Does anyone have any idea yet?

I would begin with shielding the cable and see if that helps. It's simple and will not do any harm, only improve things.

Unfortunately, but it did not help, there is aluminum foil inside, so I secured the tape with IDE2SD,

I connected the red wire to the sheet metal (see photo below) and in 060 mode, for example, when it is booting, it looks wrong, because the files have changed names in the AUTO directory, and the C: \ partition looks like I described above.

I also have broken partition on my Falcon (also use CF card with IDE to CF adapter connected with IDE cable.
I did not shield my cable but I will try.

What harddisc driver do you use?

I think you should get rid of the IDE to SD and just use IDE to CF. The reason is because CF is compatible with IDE perfectly where as IDE to SD requires a microchip to convert the data, which may be poorly compatible with how the Atari handles IDE. This I think is the reason for sure.
