Yes, and even better - there are OPL emulators for Windows available. That way you don't have to bother with the obsolete and unsupported ST either!

Guys, please tell me why you want to bother yourself with an unsupported LPT interface when you can use MIDI out and to have instant support from any existing ST application?

Just because I can, I don't want support, I want to figure things out for myself.
Even if I can't get it to work and probably loose interest in it very fast anyway doesn't mean I won't enjoy soldering it together and will try to write software for it.
Things like using the midi in and use your ST as an opl2 instrument is pretty cool in my book.

I ordered one and will use my own imagination to see what I can do with it.

There is tracker fo MSDOS called Adlibtracker2.Coded by Slovak guy.This tracker is best on opl scene!
So what about just ADT2 module player?

There will be OPL3LPT soon! Opl3 sounds like that songs from ACEtracker2 on FALCON! They are small... Like 32kb or so.

Adlib Tracker 2 is a no go for the st, on a pc to run fine needs nothing less than Pentium, the songs files require lots of cpu power to decode.

i think to remember something about there is a hardware bug in the opl2 chips. something with its interrupts,
so on the PC we had to use "In" because you had a constant delay no matter how fast your pc was (8mhz)

OPL3 and OPL4 is not so CPU intensive... On MSX computer there is OPL4
cartridge. And MSX is Z80 computer...

but it was not my windows tracker i was talking about, it was my old dos OPL3 tracker i meant

it is going fine with ST-Paint, i don't recall which version you have seen, but the newest version have layers and got many functions.
i don't know if you are on FB, but i can add you to the ST-Paint FB group, if you like.
