I cannot explain exactly how I got it to work. But it is for sure a matter of the CF-Card. I tested several cards and drives. At last one 1GB-SD-card turned out to work. In the end I think R.Czuba , the author of the CTPCI-Software, should bei able answer the problem. Maybe the software-handling of the IDE-Port an the CTPCI must be improved.

Watzl-berg can you show us the Cf card you used in 030 mode? I still want mine to boot in that manner. Thanks

I am sure I had both the CTPCI and Falcon IDE working with 4 drives once when I tried several years back.
I just cannot remember how it was done. I remember Czuba gave me a SDR_Z, but not sure if that was the one that worked. It was a beta I guess.
And with that my network was not working.

Now I have standard CPLD firmware as from the website. Network works like a champ but only one IDE port is working at one time. It cannot detect the Falcon IDE 1 if I power on my CTPCI device, but it can see Falcon IDE 2.

IDK, no time to test further.

If you got your network running, don't flash to another version that breaks it.
