Yes, it is nice and it integrates smoothly into Jinnee so it can be used for file transfers, etc instead of the built-in routines. Any translation would be great!

Yes, they stopped in early 2016. Here is my email reply from Oliver from February 2016.
Hi,
sorry, but we are not selling the other Atari products any more.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Oliver Buchmann
Application Systems Heidelberg Software GmbH
After that he stopped replying to my emails. Thankfully I had already bought most of the titles I was interested in.

They do still have Signum 4.4 and MagicMac X for sale though.

TheNameOfTheGame wrote:Also, I talked to Manfred Lippert and he was happy to give the source to Manitor/Trapper. I put it up here: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=32337. If he wouldn't have lost the source to Jinnee I believe he would have released it also.
Oh yes, the sad story about Jinnee's source code. :-( Although now with Thing being open sourced, perhaps it wouldn't be that hard to reach its feature level one day. :-)
Still trying to get the source to MagicNet. I have a friend in Greece and we have found Vassilis Papathanassiou, but sadly at this point it doesn't seem like he is interested in Atari anymore. Pity really, but I'll keep trying.
There's a thread where Marcer posted nearly all source code from Vassilis, right now I can't remember whether I saw MagicNet there as well, but definitely STiNG & friends was there. It was literally a dump of his hard disk.

Speaking about source code, I think MagiC source code will be really interesting :-)
I made a whole plan/wish list for improving/added functions from and to MagiC:-)

I know MagiC is not very popular here, but, hey....I like it, use it all the time and really want to see some improvements, new possibilities etc...

Thanks to you Nagual & Name of the Game for sharing some great programs. Obviously they are more likely to be preserved & used when more of us have them. The original authors also I hope will feel that there work is being appreciated when Atari enthusiasts seek out their programs for preservation for the community. What better mark of respect than the fact that some of these programs are still being used and sought after, sometimes many years after being written..
regards

Yea, I know. But I talked to Andreas and I know others have also. He is a stubborn one lol and just refuses to release the code. Ah well, it is his right, but like you say there could be many improvements made. It's still an awesome OS for our 4MB machines.

Maybe he can sell the code ?
I'm ready to pay for reasonable price.
Or even pay him to made some improvements, make new stuff, fixed the bad Kobold problem etc...

I don't think he's immune on financial offer, question is what is good financial offer for Andreas ? :D

Anyway, I try to contact him, so will see...

Updated the Kobold 3.5 German user manual link. I had a duplicate page in there which I now removed.

On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy.
