Powering options for the CosmosEX Mini/MicroCosmos?

As my CosmosEX Mini/MicroCosmos was recently delivered, what ways are there to power the device properly?

There is a Mini USB port near the ACSI connector but as Jookie already told me, it is a very tight fit for most cables.

Is it possible to power the device through the Micro USB of the RaspPi? A friend said, I should work as it is 5V on top and below. But I want to ask first

Are there more options? As the floppy emulation is missing, I am usure if the 4pin flat connector on top is for a floppy power cable or for something else?

A pictured guide would be awesome!

Addendum after the first test run, powering through the MicroUSB seems to work.

It works, but there is no way to turn it off... unless unplugging it...
I must say I do not like a single bit the design of the main power, being so close to tha acsi port as to prevent the insertion of any cable... Should have been warned about this issue

These are great for that.

I have the full CosmosEx and still haven't figured out where/how I want to mount it yet.... but the UltraSatan has held me off from needing it too much.

Indeed the location of the miniUSB connector on the minicosmos should be revised in future versions.
It could be placed near the on/off switch, there is plenty of space there

I know this is an old thread but another option is to find a switchable powerbar - I use an 8 outlet switch in a rack setup - I use my ataris with my music setup - I plug my ataris and CosmosEx devices into different power ports. This allows me to turn my CE units on first so they bootup and then I switch on my Atari units. Works like a charm plus you can talk through the whole process and sound like a NASA flight engineer! "Powering up CE" "CE is engaged and booting" We have a visual on boot lights -CE is booted" "Powering on STE" "We have a visual of STE boot process on the monitor!" Atari setup is go!" "Commence CUBASE session!"
