Trying to find music from demo

Post by elliot »

I am trying to find some chip music from a demo.

From memory it was a mega demo (2 - 4 disks), there were a load of crews participating but there was a French demo which was kinda text only (that you could scroll up and down) and the text was coloured by rasters. It did little more than that but it had some music that I really liked. I think the screen which selected the next demo was a Xenon clone.

I am looking for a link to YouTube of that screen OR link to the music file, you get the idea.

Any help appreciated.

Hi mister elliot,

Do you have a name of this french mega text demo ?

I don't remember this, please help us.

All Atari Megademo are in http://www.pouet.net/ or http://fujiology.untergrund.net/.

A Xenon clone as a menu? Maybe NTM Megademo? Or Vodka demo by Equinox (but only 1 disk).

With the number of disks you guess at I can only say it was one of the screens from the Phaleon Giga demo by Next (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=496). When I'm back home in a couple of days and have a spare half-hour I'll go through it and get back to you

Strider you got it (years ago), it was NTM demo (I found it here https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/games ... /page8.htm).

The specific screen I was on about is the first "Demo Tile" with "Zuul Disk 2" written on it, the screen itself has three pink/yellow Zuul logos bopping about, vertical scroll text (use arrows to get working) and great chip music, the second tile with "Zuul Disk 2" has a test screen of sorts if you find that you have gone too far.

Just in case anyone is interested (and so I can find again).

Sorry quality is not fab, manual grab of song from demo using emulator then conversion to mp3 at 64kb so not too large to upload to here.
