Hatari / Aranym on Rapsberry Pi, anyone?
Hello, did anybody here tested Hatari and/or Aranym on a Rapsberry Pi? Is it working nice? How is the performance, compared to a ST, Falcon, TT, ... ?
Power without the Price. It's not a bug. It's a feature. _/|\_ATARI

I ran Hatari on the Pi, it was fun but ran nowhere near normal speed. (I did have the early edition with half the RAM though, YMMV.)
Atarian since 1989. Atari 1040STFM, 4MB 520STe with UltraSatan and Unitor N, A dodgy 1 MBSTe that bombs out after a few minutes, and a 14MB 48MHz Falcon 030 with NetUSBee and Soundpool 8 channel DAC. Plus my new MiST!

Hatari manual has some comments on how to get more speed out with emulation options:
http://hg.tuxfamily.org/mercurialroot/h ... erformance
SDL and e.g. pulseaudio build options may also affect speed.
If you want to fastest possible speed, I would recommend using a (much) older version of Hatari, e.g. <1.0. Due to less accurate emulation, those were faster.

I have a slow old computer and this works great:
--max-width 416
--max-height 312
--fullscreen true
--statusbar false
--drive-led false
--sound 48000
--sound-buffer-size 10
--sound-sync true

--sound-sync true
Re: Hatari / Aranym on Rapsberry Pi, anyone?
On the RPi 3B and RPi 2B Aranym runs a good lot faster than a real Falcon or TT, On the RPi 2B Hatari is about the speed of a real TT when emulating a TT a decent bit faster on the RPi 3B, though limited by Hatari limits. That is my experience anyway, YMMV.
