New Kryoflux owner :)

A few weeks ago, I was in Münster and met up with Mr. Vince. After a wonderful afternoon (including pointers to the sights of Münster), we spent a lot of the time discussing the history of Kryoflux (and his old work at Cachet for the Amiga X-Copy software).

The Customs officers at Bremen airport were a little bemused and stiffly asked me "what's in the box" with my (really bad) German explanation of "retro computer spielen disketten für Atari und Amiga" working to a point before he realised I was murdering his language and I was allowed to explain the rest in English :) They were also interested in my 7" Android tablet .. including me having to power it up to prove it was really an Android tablet.

SO I finally got around to setting it up tonight and after an earlier mishap of selecting FM instead of MFM, I've now got a nice pile of 'original disks to preserve' (including the Kryoflux stream files, of course).

Once I'm through with my original disks, I can start on my C64 originals ... but that's for another forum :)

were you travelling by plane?
Powering up a computing device is pretty normal to prove it will not explode.

My point was that as regularly-ish (about once every 6 months) I go to see various friends in the NW part of Germany and go through Bremen airport every time. This was the first time I received so much scrutiny but when you open a box that a Kryoflux comes in, you can probably imagine the look of the Customs' officers as they stare at their X-Ray console.

too early in the morning for me, I guess. :roll:
I am told to turn on/off my notebook on every flight I take over here in Asia.
And that's after it out of the X-ray machine.

Phones / tablets are allowed on flights so long as the phone is.in flight mode and you don't have earphones plugged in so you can't hear/see their safety talk ;-)
