Is Peter Molyneux the STOS Game Creator... or is the man on the STOS Basic Box just a look-alike?!

Judge for yourself:

Box (1988):

Peter Molyneux, creator of Populous (ca 2008):

I think there is an extreme similarity between both men!

I have now clarified that the box is from 1988 and the picture of Molyneux is from ca 2008.

I have also scanned in a picture of Molyneux from ST Format, March 1992.

Peter Molyneux (pre-March 1992)

Nota Bene: I have some trouble with this picture... but when choose to open it in a new tab it is visible. Odd. :-/

I like the idea of it being a tribute - in this case the tribute predates the photo of the man by 20 years! Excellent!

I agree with wongck, cushing in the laboratory seems to be the inspiration for the picture.

And I personally think it is way way cooler that the 1988 STOS Game Creator on the box looks like the real life 2008 Game Creator Peter Molyneux!

It sort of makes him THE Games Creator.
