Lower right side of page, "Did you know?" section:
"Steve Jobs was Atari's fortieth employee, a technician at $5/hour."
I imagine the "Did you know?" section changes regularly, so this link will probably go stale fast!

Well I didn't know the he was the 40th but it's wellknown that he was working for atari... there are also rumours that the first Apple computer was partly built with spareparts from the atari storehouse.

There's a whole selection of those "Did You Know?" bits and they just pick a random one each time you view a page with that applet on.
Main site: www.mug-uk.co.uk - digging up bits from my past: Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (ripping guides). I host a C64 Radio Show for a mate, Max Hall via www.chipsidshow.co.uk
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in for Word 2007 upwards. A toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: mikestoolbox.co.uk

A little more on the topic from Atari Museum:
"28) President of Apple Computers STEVE JOBS began his high-tech career at
Atari. He was known to walk around barefoot, kick up his dirty deet on
executives' desks, and talk continuously about going to India to met a guru.
Not only did he do the latter, he desigened BREAKOUT before leaving Atari for
good. "
