Does anyone still use the Wiki?
I hope so - I check in from time to time, but doesn't look like there's much new content been added for a while...
Also - since the re-skinning of the forum, there doesn't appear to be an obvious link to the Wiki anywhere - can we do something about that?

I do, I just havent for a while since I've been working on a project other than my stos editor thingy. I'll contribute more when I pick that back up.

Oops ... only just noticed that coz you mentioned it. Will ask Silver Surfer if it's easy enough to add as I don't tinker with the PHP gubbins on here (and the forum works well because I don't!)Grunaki wrote:I hope so - I check in from time to time, but doesn't look like there's much new content been added for a while...

My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

As for more content - I've got loads that needs adding into the cheats section but still waiting on someone with Wiki experience to help re-design the Cheats page so that it's a bit more manageable and easier to add new cheats to without mucking up the table layouts etc.
There's that Atari ST Review tips booklet I scanned in the other night for a start ...

Re: Does anyone still use the Wiki?
I can browse m archives this weekend and see if I find more stuff to be added to the wiki.
I still use it from time to time, esp. the coding and hardware register references.
Also I agree - the big AF banner should be supplemented by a link to the wiki again.

I have been taking care of the picture formats. It is now quite complete I think.

I have a look at the coding section from time to time. Part of my ongoing pipe-dream to code something in assembly language one day.

Re: Does anyone still use the Wiki?
I use the wiki when I have a noobish question that I'm embarrassed to ask on the forums
I use the cheats/walkthrough section occasionally but the hardware/driver area gets quite a bit of reading from me.
I do miss the handy link though.

I started work porting the Polish Atari Hardware Wiki to English.... maybe ready to upload in a few weeks.

Added a few more pages, mainly coding and programming related. If I remember to do so, I'll add more out of my knowledge base.

As I'm forever saying - "it's for use by everyone and anyone" (except the two recent spammers who I banned for defacing two pages!)

Re: Does anyone still use the Wiki?
yep would love to see a wiki link in the top right corner of AF. Also think the wiki is probably the most important resource AF has. If more updates were made to it it would save the mods a lot of time going over old ground, plus none of us are gonna be around forever so its important it's as comprehensive as possible because links on other sites will not be around forever.Grunaki wrote:Also - since the re-skinning of the forum, there doesn't appear to be an obvious link to the Wiki anywhere - can we do something about that?

Re: Does anyone still use the Wiki?
Oh well, while there is no Wiki link on the front page I guess we can put links in our sigs, to increase the chance that there is a link lying around somewhere in front of your nose!
