Desktop Configurator v3 released!

Post by simonsunnyboy »

Today I begin a new age of Paradize releases.
I have been busy with reallife lately (mainly finishing my studies) so we start this time with an update of my old little utility, the Desktop Configurator.

This little AUTO folder tool allows you to select one out of different DESKTOP.INFs to be in use.

The new version mainly adds TOS detection so it automatically selects whether it has to overwrite DESKTOP.INF or NEWDESK.INF depending on the active TOS.

Grab the tool at http://paradize.atari.org/ and enjoy :)

I'm still using the previous version :) thanks for the update.

Do I just overwrite the old PRG with this new one? Will my old settings still work?

Just overwrite it in the AUTO folder. The .INF files are fully compatible.

Bug notice: It has problems with Hatari GEMDOS harddrive emulation but works nice with images there.
Bug free on my Falcon ;)

Well I plan on using it now :) I'm done with making multiple boot disks.

It frees itself from memory after it's done its thing, right?

edit: I forgot to thank you for the release! I'm also happy to see more Paradize action. Especially new software!

I've been using it in STEEM since it first came out! I'm looking forward to getting it set up with Teradesk on my STE when it arrives. :^)

I doubt it will work with Teradesk as I don't think that it does use the standard DESKTOP.INF/NEWDESK.INF files.
