My home office (Atari Falcon & PC)

Post by Anima »

Image

The monitor to the right is actually an "all in one" TV set with VGA/HDMI/SCART/SVideo/etc. inputs and includes a DVD player as well.

The Falcon and the PC are being connected via a null modem cable so there's no need for media swapping.

Thanks! :)

Actually the place was cleaned up a few days ago so taking a photo was tempting. ;)

Anima, I am interested about the software you uses. The toolchain to program for the STE, for example.

Actually I am using vasm as the only assembler since it can be used on different OS. Development is being done on a modern system with additional Javascript coding and shell scripts.

A clean desk. I like it. Quite similar to my desk, but with the FireBee on the left and the PC on the right. What's with the white thing above the right monitor though?

Yes, we know you use vasm assembler, but, How about sound, music, graphics...?

I'm studying to port MSX games to STe, and I encountered problems to play Arkos Tracker music & effects. I can to convert .ask files to .ym format with the Arkos Tracker Windows program, and with STYMulator can replay it in Linux, but I not found a ST-sound player assembly source code for STe.

No many problems with graphics, because I can use the same tools that MSX programmers (Retroworks): Tiled, Gimp, but now I am searching tools to convert these PNG files to Degas or Neochrome or others STe formats.

So... I'm starting this adventure... :-)

Not entirely true! rmac can perform this trick, and for bonus it has 56001 support almost complete :).

Have you taken a look on AGT already? Also for converting images and/or palette remapping I would recommend to check out my Retro Image Tool. However, it does not yet support the Degas Elite PI1 format for saving but the IFF format which is being supported by Deluxe Paint ST.

I'm loving this thread. Jo, that looks like a airport control tower. And yup, way too tidy, Anima.

Hi Anima.
did you ever make a standalone version of your program, i uses it very often and sometimes i am a little worry that one day its gone from the internet. so if you did a standalone version, could one persuade you to release it.
