RIP Des AKA Juggler from the PP
I have some sad news about my uncle Des, who was a core member of the Pompey pirates.
He passed away Friday at his home in Canada suddenly after being told a week before that he had stomach cancer.
He was my hero when growing up in the 80's and 90's.
Just thought I would pass this sad news on to anyone on here that knew him.

My condolences to you and your family.
He was to me, and other forum visitors, a regular name on many a scrolltext / compact disk during our formative ST years.

Just reading the name with which he participated in that time takes me to wonderful times, when we waited anxiously for the next "menu".
Every time we lose a member of the Atarian community it makes me think how old we are.

Re: RIP Des AKA Juggler from the PP
Just seen this as I have not been on here for a good while. Just looking back at my private messages des from back in 2006 as we where good friends in the days of the ST. Very very sad news .... real big shame. It seems we are all at this time in life that things can catch up with us all.
Thoughts to his family and friends ..

Very Active person in the late 80's....... Got upto to many good things and bad things...
Re: RIP Des AKA Juggler from the PP
Just spotted this too! Bad news... I used to talk to Des regularly back in the ST days. Definitely one of the nicest and most friendly guys I knew back then. I still have my Pompey Pirates keyring somewhere, the only one made for a non-group member.
I found a few old letters too... if you right click and "open in new tab" you can zoom them big enough to read clearly.
