STOT #3/14: Dugger

Post by ThorN »

From the scary swiss mountains it comes: Dugger

Have a look at our partner site Atarimania: here

@Marakatti: Linel was a swiss company, so maybe the country should be Switzerland.

My 2 attempts resulted in 14683

What annoys me most is the bad sprite detection. I got killed several times when I thought I was pumping the bad guy full of air :?

More practice needed :)

Seem like the pumping needs to be done by pushing the button longer. If you just tap the button it won´t pump as good.

But you propably knew it allready :P

what a frustrating game, I have no idea what you actually need to do :D you can't run quick enough to escape the bad guys when they are 'ghosts' and when pumping them up, others can kill you. and when just one is left it runs away ... :D

Spiny: Try this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dig_Dug

Gives you a breakdown on what game Dugger is a clone of etc.

Use the rocks on some of the levels to drop onto the monster's head (think it scores more than blowing them up with the air). Some of the levels this is the easiest way to remove at least one of the bad guys.

The sprite collision detection isn't the greatest though .. only managed to add another 1000 or so onto my previously published scores so far.

I'll try and squeeze in a few more games as I'm guessing it ends on Saturday?

Want to try and get to 17K :)

Kill the green creatures from the top or bottom, it's less risky ;)

66908. In each level you have to destroy 2 stones, then a extra appears, with this extra, you are able to archieve high scores.

OK, I doubt my score of 15K that I didn't post would have made a great deal of difference in the rankings :)
