Clicking audio with PCM samples in Steem SSE 3.8.1

Post by Foebane »

I have audio issues when it comes to this version of Steem SSE, where when the STE's PCM chip is used to play a sample, there is an audible click at the start and end of playback, and I cannot find a way to turn it off in the Sound settings. Can you help me?

I believe it is because of the null level in Steem being off. Check this topic, the issue is described in it: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30469
I however didn't take the time to file a precise report, sorry, but it'd be great if somebody would do it, as I'd love to have it fixed so I can comfortably use Steem again.

I wish this would get fixed, as I'd like to be able to use it over Hatari sometimes. :(

Well, actually, the clicking sound does seem to have disappeared. However, the null level is still off, which I'd very much like to be fixed.

Hi,
Wonder if you could fill a proper report so that I can see/hear the problem?

No, sorry. It might be just laziness, or fright that I won't do it exactly as I'm supposed to.
