Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
Yes, most of the menus of Stonish weren't spread on the Internet. That's one of the goals of the website: "collecting" rare menus. The other one is also "testing and fixing when needed" all of them.
Sorry but I don't get it: what's the advantage to mix Stonish db to TOSEC db, considering TOSEC has so much of duplicated menus and corrupted files?

Atari ST TOSEC doesn't seem to be updated anymore... imho they don't have any really rare stuff in their collection.

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
Is there a way to bulk download files, are they posted on usenet (do once and never need to do again) or torrents (need to be seeded all the time) or filehosting (meh!) or is it one file at a time?
TOSEC updates rely on new material to be added to TOSEC db but not my job

I thought Stonish had reached 2000+ CDs but I only found 1916 ??? Awesome neat collection with screenshots etc....
Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
Hi Methanoid,
You're fully right.
There was a bug in the counter method and it displayed a wrong number of disks on the site. My fault
Thanks for your message. I've corrected the issue after reading your post in July.
Now, the site offers 1997 disks and it will reach the 2000th number tonight or tomorrow.
The 2000th one will be a special menu (at least for me) that was found recently, after 12 years of research. All people who read this forum regularly already knows which one

The 2000th compilation is here.
Thanks for your messages
@Zorro2: yes, I'm really after Pulsion disks. I've asked Hitcher several times if he still has some disks, but he threw them many years ago. Any help is welcome my friend

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
Well, since my last message here, a lot of disks have added
Have finally found many Factory disks, Impact menus and... Mad Vision disk A! This incredible rare disk was sent by ZX of Bad Boys Belgium, thanks for his precious help! He also sent some Fuzion menus (Fuzion disk #0 is now online!) and many more.
Also I've started to add many menus of utilities by The Radical Bandits, Pure Energy, Slippery Sid, Floppy Copy Crew, Dodgysoft, The Storm Brothers...
Enjoy and more to come soon.

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks
Hi Brume, another fantastic collection. I just downloaded all to put into my inventory. But I wonder, no Automation disks, even no logo? Pompey Pirates empty? no dbug? I miss many menu disk collections there. How comes? Should I make againa CD for you, like in 1997? No, CD would not be enough, maybe it fits on BluRay...?

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
You're fully right 1st1. Still have a lot of menu disks to add to the site.
But it takes a looooong time to check each menu and make a listing of their contents. At the moment, I'm adding Delicious Disk (by The SyndiCate) to the site. And well, as usual, some menus that are spread on Internet (since 20 years) are corrupted. Need to find a better source or repair them. Step by step...
Pompey Pirates are in my todo list. Will work on them after DD menus. And you're right about Automation: I'll add a link to D-Bug website, where a big part of Automation's menus are available. All have been listed + checked, so it's the best source to download them.
Btw, sorry for my poor memory: which CD do you refer? Around 1997 I started to collect a ton of CD, but it was a long time ago. I'm very old now, you know

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
Brume, awesome site, really but when you make updates could we have a change log.. I like to see which titles are new without doing something drastic like downloading the whole site!!!
Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
On the left side of the main page they're a box "Last menus added". It displays last 100th menus added to the site.
I can generate a log page automatically, but let me know what kind of information you want me to integrate on it.

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
oooops foot firmly in mouth there!!! Sorry, thats perfect.. Well is it possible to click and expand that to a page? Easier to scroll on a full width item rather than the "ticker" style... But yes, you got it covered and I am a fool...

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
No problem
You're right, I'll add an option to expand to a full page, good idea.

You found it in your post box one day. We wanted to meet but you wasn't there. You still mention me on your demo site for providing many ultra rare demos.Brume wrote:Btw, sorry for my poor memory: which CD do you refer? A short link to the files would be nice, usable with downthemall (that means directly pointing to the zip files)Brume wrote:On the left side of the main page they're a box "Last menus added". It displays last 100th menus added to the site.

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
Hello guys,
Happy new year to everyone!
The site grows almost every day (when time permits) and I still try to upload more & more rare menus.
But this time, I've started to add a very popular collection: Pompey Pirates menus. I've received many requests about them since a few months, so it's time to work on them. Well, I thought I just had add to test the menu and list their content, but I was wrong: a lot of menus spread since 20 years seems to be faulty. At least they are detected as faulty by the tool provided on menu #14, wich checks the integrity of menus #1 --> #75. Sometimes it's just a patch for STE that wasn't applied on the menus (which isn't a real problem), and sometimes it's a file that seems to be faulty on the disks (which is a problem).
It will take more time than expected to add them on the site. Once it's done, I hope PP's collection will be more clean, unless it was already done by someone else (which could help me a lot - no need to reinvent the wheel).
Happy new year again
