RE: POV stuff - are there any missing disks ? theres quite a few POV labelled disks in the collection, but if there is already a complete set, then I'll put them to one side for later, to check they are actually POV disksatari_mark wrote:I used to send POV compilations to The Demo Club PD Library. Yes, the whole collection of POV disks is already on POV's website and was imaged by MSD himself.spiny wrote:RE: POV stuff - are there any missing disks ? theres quite a few POV labelled disks in the collection, but if there is already a complete set, then I'll put them to one side for later, to check they are actually POV disks

Seeing quite a few zero byte sized files on the FTP. Transfer or imaging errors?

imaging errors I think, as they are the same size on my imaging PC. I'll re-do the odd sized onesrich wrote:Seeing quite a few zero byte sized files on the FTP. Transfer or imaging errors?

cool, hopefully they'll be a load more too

Re: Collected 3500 ST disks today
Is it worth me uploading the original 700 or so I imaged years ago, or does everyone have them now?
Re: Collected 3500 ST disks today

If they aren't up by tomorrow, I have them at work, where I can use my 100meg line, nicer than my 4.2meg ADSL I have here

Re: Collected 3500 ST disks today
I've got about 1000 disks filled with demos, music and games (cracks) for the ST and Falcon. Is there anyone here from Sweden that is able to transfer them for me? They will of course be shared with the community when personal stuff have been wiped out.

Wow! 1000 disks! Ask Marcer, I'm pretty sure he'll be interested in them. He also lives in Sweden.hedning wrote:I've got about 1000 disks filled with demos, music and games for the ST and Falcon. "Marcer, this is a job for you

Re: Collected 3500 ST disks today
Inspired by this thread I just fetched an old Windows PC from the closet, installed its disk drive (which hasn't been used for a decade or so) and started imaging the disk collection I have using ST Recover.
Note: It's _not_ my own collection - that seems to have been lost (maybe to someone buying my 520 ST in Ronneby/Sweden 1998 - know of anyone who did?). It's the collection of someone I in turn bought STs from.
@Marcer - yes, the one I was going to give you. You'll still get the images
/Troed
edit: Halfway there. It's a ~200 disk collection with games and utilities from mostly the 1986-1988 era. I don't think there will be any earth shattering discoveries - maybe some rare commercial Swedish software.

Done. Exactly 200* disks all in all - and since I've promised Marcer the collection before he's the one who now has the download link

Re: Collected 3500 ST disks today
Somewhat inspired by this again I've imaged half of my Falcon collection. Have been imaging my Falcon Owners Group PD Library disks and then will move on to my personal Falcon disks (those that Phil doesn't have any way). Will upload them all when finished - at least bandwidth is much faster now than all those years ago

Re: Collected 3500 ST disks today
@rich: what kind of format do you use to archive Falcon disks?
Just copy the content of the disks in directories, or do you image them with DIM, MSA, or something else?
