I bought one of these today as an impulse purchase, missing the lovely angular mouse and colour monitor sadly, so when I get a chance I can take some pics of the board/insides if people really want.

The pc1 already had a color monitor? Always interested in buying one if you ever plan on selling...

I meant I don't have any EGA colour monitor myself or supplied with it and didn't get the amber screen one with it to try it out on, not sure if Atari did a color one themselves.

CGA is not hard to get going so might see if I can get an adaptor or something for the EGA monitor port on the PC1, EGA monitors are pretty rare and have nothing in common with either VGA which modern TVs can accept or CGA via old CRT monitors from Commodore/Acorn/Phillips etc.

Not really done much with it because I have no monitor to see what is going on but from memory it does appear to be booting and giving the set time/date beeps and the drives are both alive (sounds like it has an old MFM type drive inside as per my Mega STE not just the FDD initialization sounds).

Missing the mouse and GEM EGA disks (or any disks but MS/DR DOS is easy enough to find on 5 1/4 inch disks). I do have a set of Amstrad PC1512 disks somewhere (the ones in four different coloured disks) and that was also supplied with GEM (probably not EGA as that machine had a weird 16 colour CGA mode at best.

I probably wouldn't sell it unless I found a Commodore PC1 as well I might sell one of them (these are the only two XT class PCs that are not huge or clumsy/ugly looking!!!). It's also a great candidate to do some gas based de-yellowing as you really don't want to take them apart with such brittle plastics now.

Further down the rabbit hole!

I managed to locate the correct Atari PCM1 mouse a while back since that post, was another out of the blue thing. I couldn't find any info at all about whether you could use an identical looking STM1 mouse (same 9 pin D connector) so I didn't want to spend even more on it before seeing it boot up on a monitor but when am I going to find another one.

So I just need to find an EGA monitor locally to me. I couldn't find any info on an Atari branded EGA monitor matching the PC1/Mega ST styling existing.
